Kenyon Hall Farm
Winwick Ln, Croft, Warrington WA3 7ED
Good morning! I’m still very much riding the ‘it’s-the-beginning-of-September-and-everything-is-Autumnal-as-hell’ wave, and wanted to follow up my Autumn Bucket List with a post about our seasonal visit to Kenyon Hall Farm for berry picking.
I wrote about picking strawberries there back in June, which Scott & I always love. Then we returned this weekend, which you might have seen on my Instastories, to pick raspberries, blackberries (and have a sneak peek at their pumpkin crops – which look amazing!)
It’s so much fun to make our seasonal trips out there. Definitely something I’d recommend to ignite your Autumn spirit!
I always find that I become some sort of kitchen-living-dessert-baker during the Autumn, I don’t know if it’s the drop in temperature or, if in all honesty, it’s the volume of fruit that we pick from our garden/nearby farms that need to be baked into stuff before they go off – ha!
I love baking and making all sorts of desserts, whether it’s cakes or pies – cookies or brownies: I made these super soft salted caramel Rolo brownies over on Instagram last month and you guys seemed to absolutely love them, so I’m definitely considering doing some more Instagram-related foodie treats, too!
Also – can I just say that I am absolutely obsessed with this pink textured jumper? I picked it up during River Island’s seasonal sale (which I’d definitely recommend you check out for some awesome staples!), reduced from £30 to £12 and I’m in love. I love the muted pink colour, I think it’s perfect for Autumn and Winter – and it pairs so well with so many things. I can’t wait to layer it, too. You’ll probably see it popping up all over my Instagram over the next few seasons! Ha ha!
P.S. I’ve been trialing contact lenses these past two months and I’m loving them! It’s a bit strange to run a blog under the name Mile in My Glasses when I might be wearing contacts the majority of the time, but I think it still works? What do you think? Should I ‘rebrand’? Ha ha!
I’m really excited to get making these berries into a great crumble, and if it’s nice enough I’ll make sure to write up a recipe blog post for you guys on here! I’ve been loving doing more foodie posts recently, and I had so much fun finding some foodie haunts while I was in London! I can definitely see food becoming a bigger part of this blog.
