Happy Monday! I used to be the type of person that absolutely dreaded Mondays (and that infamous Sunday feeling, too!) but for some reason, towards the second half of this year, I started to become the type of person that actually… Dare I say it… Enjoyed them. I love the fresh start to a week that Monday brings, it feels like a mini New Years every week (and I am VERY conscious of how cliche that sounds! Ha!) – but I love the feeling of tackling Monday head on and starting the new week on a high!
I wanted to kickstart this week with a first on my blog, and actually, do a homeware haul! I’ve been slowly collecting these items through the tail end of Summer and the first chunk of Autumn, and I’m really excited to share them with you guys because there are some pieces here that I’m absolutely in love with!
Bath & Bodyworks Wallflowers
Bath & Bodyworks don’t seem to sell their products in England (which is the most annoying thing ever), and because of that – each time I visit the States, I like to try and stock up on some of their things! (You can read about my most recent trip there last month right here!)
If you’ve watched even one lifestyle haul on YouTube, then you’ll probably be familiar with their candles – especially during Autumn. They do so many amazing scents, but since I had to deal with the cold reality of luggage allowance and shipping costs, simply buying half their stock of candles and perfumeries wasn’t really an option for me. Instead, I picked up a handful (okay, 11) of their wallflowers, which has fulfilled the urge nicely!
I also found that you can pick up wallflower plugs for the UK on eBay, so it was an absolute ease to bring the little-perfumed bottles home with me and plug them straight in! The scents I picked up were: Leaves, Sweater Weather, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl, Pumpkin Apple, Harvest Gathering, Flannel, Spiced Apple Toddy, ‘Tis the Season, Frozen Lake, Winter and Bergamot.
Tommy Hilfiger Scarf
When I picked up this scarf, I fell in love. And not just with this, but kinda with scarves altogether. I picked up this absolute beauty while I was in the States (though I’ll link similar ones here and here, and have a pretty diagram of a few below), and I had no idea of the love affair that was about to ensue between me and this metre and a bit of material, seriously.
I became attached to this thing while I was in Paris, it literally went with everything and anything – and I received so many compliments about it that I was grinning ear to ear the whole time, also. It’s a blanket scarf, which means you can essentially style it a bunch of ways – whether you’re after the thin round-the-neck look, or a comfier ‘this-is-my-socially-acceptable-duvet’ styling when it’s super chilly outside, both work and actually look pretty great.
Mennace Oversized Sweater
When I first unpacked this sweater, I threw it on – gasped – then stood trying to decide whether or not to send it back for 5 minutes or so. First of all, it’s one of the comfiest materials EVER – seriously, I don’t know how it’s that soft without being too much. But secondly, it’s super oversized. I bought an XS because I’m tiny, and the second I put it on, it hung down further on my thighs than I originally wanted it to.
But then, I was feeling it. That slouchy ‘I-just-rolled-out-of-bed-and-straight-into-this-super-fashionable-jumper’ look is something that I don’t know if I can achieve, but I’ll sure try. Also, if I look an absolute nonce while wearing it in public, I can always live in it on Sunday’s. Because that’s what Sunday’s are made for. (Seriously though, I absolutely love this sweater but I’m unsure if the length is a little too much. I think it’s going to be a bit of a workshop – ha!)
I am in love with the colour, though. It’s sage – straight up, muted green sage. Aka the colour I never knew I needed so badly until I wore this jumper.
Light Grey ASOS Overcoat
Although I’ve already done an entire post on this coat (which you can read here) I couldn’t help but include it in this haul – because, well, it’s my favourite coat right now (and even inspired me to pick up the same coat in tan!). There’s a struggle to picking up long coats when you’re a short person – you’re always a hop, skip and a jump away from drowning in material or making yourself look “too short” (as someone on a shoot once lovingly said to me.. haha!)
This coat cuts in juuuuust right, I think. And it’s made even sweeter by the fact that I picked this up in a 1/2 off January sale at the beginning of the year! Asos have released a similar coat to it this season, which I’ll link below, but that’s straight back up to the £80 RRP. I love the grey colour, and the material too – it’s so versatile for layering or styling with other outfits, and since it’s a thicker coat I love being able to bundle up with it during the colder days (which we definitely experienced while in Paris!)
