Good morning guys!
With the weather starting to brighten itself up here in North England, I thought I’d celebrate the slow approach of Spring with a post about my Winter wardrobe essentials (mostly because you can probably snag 9/10 of these items for a great discount right about now – hahaha. I know it’s waaaaay too soon to be thinking about next Winter, but y’know!)
This Winter y’all have seen an absurd amount of outfit posts from me. Like, I fell hard for them. But because of that, I think I’ve found more of a footing in styling outfits that I love, and sharing/discussing them with you guys has genuinely been one of my highlights of running this blog in the first place, I never realised how much of a passion talking about clothes would become! Ha!
As always, I’d love to know what your wardrobe essentials were this Winter – and what you think of mine!
My Winter Wardrobe Essentials
Over Coats You’ll have seen me rave about this grey coat that I picked up from ASOS before my trip to Paris last year. That coat became the start of a revolution, and I picked up another in camel! I’ve got my eye trained on the sales this year for an olive addition, as I love the cut of this style on me and have practically become obsessed with getting as many of these as I can! Ha! (I originally picked up the grey coat during the post-Winter sales in 2016 and got it for 50% off!)
Chelsea Boots This Winter was also the season of the Chelsea boot for me. I fell for these suckers h a r d. I absolutely love this black pair that I picked up from ASOS, since they’re so versatile and go with absolutely everything! Last month though I did also collect this light grey pair from ALDO in the Winter sales and I’m pretty smitten with them, too. Though I’m also pretty gutted that I can’t really wear Chelsea boots now until Autumn!
Roll Neck Jumpers Another obsession of mine you’ll have seen here on the blog. Roll neck jumpers and I became BFFs this year, with me picking up a (few) too many to be proud of. I think they have a really cool look to them, especially when styled up or down. I also love this oatmeal coloured one in particular, that beige-mix looks so great in outfits!
Scarves Winter is the season of a big chunky scarf, isn’t it? During Autumn I love lighter ones, and during Winter is when I really break out the blanket bad boys. Nothing means business like a scarf you can double up for a duvet if you’re on a long drive or plane ride – ha!
Socks I’ve also grown a weird appreciation of socks recently. Especially the look of longer, traditional looking socks (like these athletic-esque skater socks) half-way up your calf and styled with either workout gear or a casual outfit. I totally dig that. Ha! I’ve also thrown some Happy Socks into the mix because they’re super cute and their socks are always fantastic quality!
