Good morning guys! I’m so happy that it’s finally Spring. Does anyone else feel like Winter took a *little bit* too long to get past?
The first 2 months of the year are always a strange one for me, where time seems to stand still as my work life slows down for a while and I take time to figure out what I want to achieve over the next 12 months.
With the start of Spring on Tuesday, my wardrobe is already in full rotation-mode, meaning that I’m swapping out my Winter-y pieces for Spring ones, and I’m already so excited about a bunch of different colours and styles to incorporate this season!
Do you have a favourite colour you think you’ll be wearing for the next 3 months?
On today’s post, I wanted to share some styles and pieces that I’ve picked up over the last few months, and that I can’t wait to wear for this season!
I’d be really interested to hear what your favourite clothing styles are for the lighter seasons if you want to leave them in the comments below!
Cropped (and White) Denim
I picked up this pair of cropped slim-fit jeans from Abercrombie last month (on major discount!) and I am in love. I’ve worn them again, and again… and again. I’m usually one to roll my cuffs, but I love the style of this cropped pair, and I already have my eye on some white ones that I want to grab, too!
Lighter pairs of jeans have completely taken my heart over the last few months, starting with these guys from Topman. While I was in the States, I grabbed this pair from Abercrombie too, and I’ve loved pairing them with other neutrals like olive green or beige. I love the statement that white jeans make, and although I have to be careful not to stain them, they’ve definitely become a staple for the next season! I especially love pairing white jeans with my white hi-top converse (pictured above!) I think they go together to give an awesome edge to any outfit!
Linen Shirts (And Popovers)
I don’t know if you guys caught this post, but I’ve been praising linen shirts for a while now – in particular, Abercrombie’s *can you tell that I might be living off a certain store right now?* – they’re really soft, light and aren’t scratchy in any way! I love the styles they do, and they’re great either to layer, or dress up and down at your leisure!
I also picked up this popover shirt from Abercrombie that I’ve been crushing on, too. It’s a thicker cotton material and great for chillier evenings and colder nights! I grabbed it in this cream colour and am yet to find an outfit that it doesn’t look great with! I love the half-body buttons of a popover, it feels really unique and I think finds a good balance between the formality of a shirt, but the casual air of a jumper!
