March has always been one of my favourite months, and not just because of my birthday. In England, Spring starts to show its face in March, especially as the nights grow longer and the days get sunnier.
There’s still a definite chill in the air, but as the weeks pass you can feel it lessening and it makes me more and more excited for the warmer days to come!
Putting the clocks back at the end of March is one of my favourite things, too – as it’s like that final farewell to Winter, where I won’t be coming home from work in the dark anymore and I can actually enjoy some time in the sun on days that aren’t the weekend! Ha!
The majority of my March favourites are very ‘Summer’, I’m going to warn you. But this only follows on from my trip to The Sunshine State with Scott at the beginning of the month, and all the bits and bobs that I picked up in anticipation of that (and some great finds that I stumbled across while I was there, too!)
Burts Bees Lip Balm – This Winter has been pretty hard on my skin, especially the beginning of 2018 where the weather here in North West England has yo-yo’d between an hour or two of daylight, and weeks of freezing temperatures and snow! I had been using EOS lip balms for the longest time, and although they were great – I had to reapply every hour or two because they’d get absorbed super quickly. Then, the shining light appeared. I came across Burts Bees lip balms and everything changed *cue cheesy harps*. They’re great, really moisturising – some great flavours and generally a fantastic all-rounder. I highly recommend picking up their fruit gift set of lip balms, which I grabbed for $8 in Target while I was in Florida at the beginning of the month!
YouTube – This month, or more specifically last week, was when I started officially posting to my YouTube channel! I’m so excited to be finally posting video content and take Mile in My Glasses onto another platform as well. I feel like I’ve been talking about it for the longest time! If you’re interested in subscribing, I’ll be posting new videos there once a week, every Sunday at 5 pm (GMT). I really hope you enjoy them as much as I love making them!
Special K! Coconut, Cocoa and Cashew Protein Bars – This is my first foodie favourite here on the blog, and I’m mainly adding them because of how surprised I was that they actually taste really nice. They’re chocolatey with the slightest hint of coconut, which makes me feel like Summer (does anybody else associate the smell/taste/flavour of all things coconut as Summer?) I’m trying not to binge eat them, but they’re pretty good for you – with a dose of protein, some healthy fats and a generally low-calorie count, too.
Pullovers – Okay, so I’ve gone a little wild talking about my love for Abercrombie and Fitch on the blog lately, but now I’m going to talk about pullovers for a quick second. I’d never really had a pullover, and now I’m obsessed. I love them – they’re a great mix between a shirt/tee/hoodie, while being comfy and still relatively light. Perfect for Spring and early Summer!
Cropped Jeans – Another Abercrombie find, I’m going to keep my gushing to a minimum and just say how happy I am to have grabbed some cropped jeans! They make me so excited for warmer days to come, and look great with practically any and all outfits!
Suncream Dry Mist – This was one of my most unexpected loves of the month. Scott bought this with us to the States, and I ended up ditching my creams completely for this because of how easy, light and straightforward it is to apply! You can forget sweaty, greasy hands that you have to wash after application (which makes it perfect for on the go!), instead just spritz the mist onto yourself in the morning, then top it up while you’re out and about during the day for all-around sun protection! You don’t feel greasy, sweaty or uncomfortable – and it sinks in almost immediately! I’m in love! (Also, totally not sponsored I swear)
Converse Hi-Tops – I wasn’t going to include them in this month again, but considering I wore them practically every single day we were in the States, I think they deserved a mention! The converse is known for being the super versatile shoe, and it always gave a great edge to all the outfits I was pairing on my trip! I love these guys, I just can’t believe it took me so long to pick up a pair of hi-tops!
ASOS Pork Pie Hat – This hat is another favourite of mine that I didn’t think I’d love as much as I did. I loved pairing it with outfits, with glasses (or sunglasses) and all outfits! It gives a really fun edge and is great for versatility when picking your wardrobe!

Alyssa has one of the first blogger accounts I came across after I started in October 2016. I immediately fell for her content, and have been following along not just on the blog, but on Instagram and Twitter ever since! I absolutely love her airy editing style, and her feed on Instagram is #goals, I’m not even kidding. She also makes YouTube videos, which you can check out here!
