Good morning guys, and happy Monday! You might notice that things are looking a little different around here – MIMG underwent some maintenance towards the end of last week, and it got a fresh new outfit put on it (ha!). I say outfit because the bare bones are still the same, everything just looks a little more polished and the general interface has been tweaked here and there for functionality! I’d love to hear your thoughts on the update if you want to let me know below! Now, without further ado, I’ll get into today’s post…
Today’s post is a bit of a tweak on something I posted last November, about my favourite places to shop in Orlando. When I re-visited the city last month, I tested some new places (while also visiting my favourite old haunts) and thought it was time to spruce this guy up with some new information! I’d love to know where your favourite places to shop in Orlando are if you ever visit.
A new YouTube video went up last night from our day shopping around Orlando, where we visited a bunch of these stores (and loved all of them!) which you can watch here, or below.
The Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets
The Premium Outlets bookend each side of International Drive, with the different locations offering different stores. I’d tell you which is better, but I don’t even know myself – because I love the options on both ends! The Vineland location, which is at the ‘top’ of International houses stores like J. Crew, Ralph Lauren, GAP and a much bigger Disney Character Warehouse (which is a go-to for merchandise from the parks for up-to 90% off!), while the other branch has the likes of Bath and Bodyworks, a great Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, too.
I highly recommend checking both locations out, and seeing which you prefer. Since they’re both outlet establishments, all the stores are discounted and they offer some really fantastic deals for stock that you just wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else.
Pointe Orlando has been a favourite of mine since I first discovered it in 2013. Although we stumbled across the plaza for Ben & Jerry’s (the perfect way to top off dinner and cocktails at Bahama Breeze, and only a short walk away too!), once we entered the Tommy Hilfiger Clearance Store this immediately became somewhere we knew we’d have to return to time and time again.
The stock in TH revolves twice a week at minimum, and new lines are always being put out. 90% of the Tommy Hilfiger clothing you’ve seen me wear on the blog has been from there, because you can grab authentic TH clothing for as little as $9 for a jumper! Such great savings. Pointe Orlando also has a Hollister that we check out, but sometimes they can be hit and miss in regards to savings and great stock.
The Orlando Outlet Marketplace
The Orlando Outlet Marketplace was somewhere we only visited because we were on the look-out for a Nike Clearance Store. Although there’s a huge Nike outlet at Orlando Premium, the stock in the clearance store is almost identical to the outlet but with an extra 30% off store-wide. You’re almost guaranteed to snag a bargain, and I can’t resist picking up a few items each time we visit!
While Scott and I were in Florida last month, we wandered around the Marketplace and found an American Eagle Clearance Store, too. Similar to Nike, that they both have outlets at Orlando Premium, the sales prices at the American Eagle clearance store were far lower than what you’d be paying over there. I got these socks for $1 a pair, and you could pick up jumpers, pants and pretty much anything from their range for a great discount, too.
The Florida Mall
The Florida Mall is a great all-rounder, and the amount of stores they offer is almost endless. Although the Florida Mall isn’t an outlet, you can almost always still get items at a pretty great deal. From Bath and Bodyworks to the Apple Store, you have stores from all departments of retail and some incredible restaurants, too. We love visiting the Shake Shack on property (I can’t resist their cheese-fries and salted caramel milkshake!), and the mall as a building is great fun to walk around. If you’re short on time, I’d recommend visiting the Florida Mall because of the stores they offer, you’ll probably be able to find just about everything on your list.
Mall of Millenia
The Mall of Millenia might just be my favourite of the above: and not just for their Abercrombie & Fitch store (seriously, if you didn’t catch this post, I’m still loving everything that I’m seeing from them!). Our first trip to MoM was in 2016, which was the first year that we visited Orlando with a car (and it did make such a huge difference!). We were on the lookout for a Cheesecake Factory (doesn’t exist in England, which is why so many of us Brits are obsessed with it!) and found it there.
The Cheesecake Factory (of course) was amazing, and I’m pretty sure we visited it multiple times after (and have returned each and every time we’ve been in the city! Their S’mores slice and Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple slices are incredible). Another favourite store of mine at Mall of Millenia is the Pottery Barn – I just love home decor stores and Pottery Barn’s layout is gorgeous!
If you’re in the Millenia area, there’s a great breakfast joint called Keke’s Breakfast Cafe that I would highly recommend, too. Scott and I basically lived off their Turtle-Stuffed French Toast and Home Fries (so good!). There’s also a really great Nordstrom Rack that’s a 2-minute drive away, and a Super Target across the road that I became mildly obsessed with. Out of all the American ‘supermarkets’ Super Target had to be my favourite, their home decor items were so cute, and I love the Goodfellow & Co. brand that supplies their clothing.
I’d love to hear where your favourite stores to shop are while you’re in Orlando, or if you’ve ever visited any of the ones that I have! Orlando is such a beautiful place, and I have to say I’m already planning my next trip back! Haha! If you want to see the vlogs I did while I was in the city, click here.
