It’s coming towards the end of April and the weather is (finally) heating up! Although I’d consider it to be ‘theme park season’ year-round, it becomes a lot more exciting to visit them during the heat, and while Scott and I were visiting Orlando last month, we couldn’t help but spend a few days exploring Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay!
I do love Disney World too (because seriously who doesn’t?) but when Scott and I planned this trip, we were going only for a week and didn’t end up purchasing Disney tickets due to the vast amount of things we had planned while we were in the city.
Today, I wanted to bring you guys a post on essentials to bring to theme parks. This is a universal post (as in, it applies to any and all parks), so it’s not Florida-specific.
I’d love to hear what essentials you guys bring to the theme parks when you’re visiting, if you want to comment them down below!
The London Chimney Water Bottle
A good reusable water bottle, to save money buying multiple bottles and to keep you hydrated while you’re walking around the parks in the Summer heat.
Bonus points if the water bottle is insulated, too – to keep your water cool throughout the day while you’re topping up from water fountains or public taps.
Forecast Hooded Coach Jacket Waterproof in Beige
Something that you can wrap up and store in a backpack, a light jacket to pull out in the cooler evenings, and preferrably waterproof, in case you need to pull it out during the day if there’s an unexpected downpour!
Dry Mist Sun Cream Spray
As opposed to traditional sun cream, a mist means that you won’t have to worry about greasy hands or leaky product, which is great when you’re walking around constantly (and queueing quite often, too!).
It also means you don’t have to worry about washing your hands, as the product won’t get on you other than where you spray it! The mist is really refreshing and perfect for topping up throughout your day!
Heads Up! Smartphone App
While you’re spending so long queueing and waiting in line, a good app to pass the time with your friends is essential. Apps like Heads Up will keep you entertained and make sure the wait time flies by.
Another great smartphone app to use is called Linkee, I definitely recommend that one for a twist.
Astro E1 5200mAh Portable Charger
While we’re talking about apps, phone batteries can drain like no tomorrow. Especially in the Summer heat, it does nothing to help! So, making sure you have a reliable portable charger handy will make a world of difference.
This portable power back is an Amazon Essential item, and is the one that I personally own and rely on!
Free Run CMTR 2017 Trainers In Black
With all the walking from ride to ride, and car park to the theme park itself, having a pair of comfortable shoes will go a long way. Especially if you’re going elsewhere after the park during the evening, on to dinner or out to a mall.
These Nike Free Running trainers are super comfortable, and in black/white colourway ensures they’ll match with any and all of your outfits.
These are the essentials that I reach for whenever I know I’m headed to a theme park, and they come in handy each and every time.
As always, thank-you so much for reading and make sure to leave me a comment below letting me know your theme park essentials!
