If you follow me on Instagram you might know that I spent last weekend in London with my boyfriend Scott. And, if you’ve been on my Instagram a lot lately, you’ll probably have noticed that there has become a foodie theme on there – mostly because I never seem to stop eating, but also because I absolutely love sharing dishes with you guys and hearing back what your favourite foods are and your favourite dishes, too.
Well, while I was in London, one of the things I was most excited for was hitting up some amazing foodie spots that I’d seen on Instagram (all of them are desserts, because my sweet tooth is a diehard) and each of them were honestly so amazing that I couldn’t wait to share them with you in a blog post, too!
I’ve made sure to include the prices along with my favourite treats, and some deeeelicious looking photos to hopefully awaken the foodie in you, ha!
Nosteagia – 94 Picadilly
nosteagia.com
Nosteagia is a foodie van located on Piccadilly, in the Cambridge House outdoor food court. The company specialise in bubble waffles and bubble teas, the former being a delicious cone made out of waffle batter and stuffed with all the toppings you could only dream of.
The basic bubble waffles (including mine, which was the “Marshtella” flavour, and Scott’s, “Strawberry Dream”) start at £4.50, with the most expensive waffle cone coming in at £7.
When I saw these on Instagram, I was legit scared that they wouldn’t be able to stand up, or they’d fall apart in my hands – but they were so stiff in all the right ways that I could eat the filling, then the outside without smearing or dripping it all over myself! Ha!
Scott’s flavour looked absolutely amazing too, with a whipped cream filling, lashings of chocolate sauce and sliced strawberries.
You could get really creative with your flavours, and some of the preset ones had things like ice cream in them, so if you wanted to go all out – they were more than happy to create whatever you’re hoping for, which was fantastic!
For me, though, coming right off a walk around the Natural History Museum, I was looking for something to tide me over until lunch, and I found the Marshatella flavour perfect!
I was surprised at the lack of queue for the van, I thought it would definitely be the type of food that would require some waiting, but we were able to order immediately, it was ready within 2 minutes and you didn’t have to wait for anything to cool down before digging in!
Naked Dough – 6 St Agnes Well
naked-dough.co.uk
Another place Scott and I visited was Naked Dough, found next to Old Street Station, in St Agnes Well. Naked Dough ended up being Scott’s favourite of the foodie visits, and I loved the mixing and matching of flavours you get with a cone, too.
The cones cost £3.60, or you could get a carton instead for the same price. You get to mix two flavours, and I chose the NakEd Sheeran (salted caramel and honeycomb) and Mud Pie (chocolate with chocolate chips).
It was the strangest thing eating something that looked like ice cream but wasn’t, and it had the consistency of fudge. It was awesome though and both of us were immediately hooked! This would be a great thing to share if you and your partner don’t have particularly sweet teeth, especially since cookie dough is super sugarry. (That wasn’t the case for me and Scott, though! Ha!)
The Milk Train – 44 Bedford Street
@milktraincafe
Let me preface this by saying: The Milk Train was a popping place. Like, we waited in a queue for what must have been 45 minutes, type of popping place. It was the first time that I had actually been in a foodie queue, and from when we arrived to when we left, the queue showed no signs of slowing down! We didn’t even arrive on a particularly busy day, or at a particularly busy time – it was mid-afternoon-ish, so I don’t know if it would be somewhere you could second guess the business of!
The Milk Train offered a bunch of different options: from regular soft serve cones to cartons, to shakes and candy floss clouds. Let’s be real though, everyone that I saw went for a candy floss cloud, including Scott and I, and I regret absolutely none of it. The whole thing was amazing!
They offer either vanilla or matcha soft serve, as well as a surprise flavour of the day – which when we visited was chocolate. We decided to get vanilla, with Oreos, salted caramel chips and chocolate sauce (all of which were incredible).
As soon as we got outside, the entire thing started to melt quite quickly, so we dug into it and it was gone in an embarrassingly short amount of time – ha!

Which is your favourite: bubble wraps, cookie dough cones or candy floss clouds?
