Hats are something that I never really got into wearing until recently. Mostly because I never thought I suited them, or I couldn’t find exact styles that I liked. As I got older though, the more it didn’t matter whether I thought I suited them or not, I actually just really enjoyed throwing a hat on. Especially Summer hats, as a way of getting the sun either off my scalp or neck or shoulders.
I’ve always gone for more basic hat styles, either snapbacks with a small logo on the front, or wide-brimmed hats in neutral colours to mix and match with any outfits. Perhaps the more I wear them the more confident I’ll become, but these are the styles that I’m loving to wear at the moment.
Whether throwing on a hat to go to the gym, out on a Sunday hike, for a day at the beach or simply to hide unwashed hair whilst running errands – they’re a great way to add an extra pop to your outfit and bring some more fun into your wardrobe. I love dad hats, too. Which are essentially a baseball cap, made of canvas or cotton and with a curved brim. Unlike snapbacks that have really long brims.
I’m rounding up some of my favourite hat styles from around the web here today, and to be honest, most of these styles I actually own…
